Job Description

- Lead the Vegetables Regional Supply Planning team and initiate continuous improvement initiatives and/or projects to optimize supply & inventory utilization to meet customer expectations.
- Secures Regional Supply Planners to be empowered to manage incoming crop and inventories, in line with market demand and conform to internal quality & commercial product specs. Balance demand & supply and provide a timely and accurate demand confirmation.
- In strong coordination with colleagues from seed production, plant operations, QA/QC, crop-planning, demand planning, achieve seamless flow of operations and an optimal capacity utilization in our plants and QC labs, while securing inventory readiness, in line with commercial demand.
- Pro-actively escalates or cascades up to critical functions/stakeholders to address potential gaps or misalignment which might influence availability or supply.
- Actively support to realize a service minded team; provide pro-active information to all concerned regarding progress on expected product Quality, Quantity and Time.
- Lead regional Supply Planning team capable of operational excellence securing reliable and timely inventory readiness and demand confirmation in line with sales forecast / market demand.
- Secure freedom to operate-business continuity of our regional planning in support of the global business strategy execution & commercial operational supply.
- Manage all regional / local supply constraints and sales / supply opportunities, in close coordination with regional operational leads, business planners and the other regional supply planning functions in our global supply hubs.
- Coach, support and challenge supply planning team in critical cases to realize the optimum result for the benefit of P&S and Commercial teams to supply the customer in the best way.
- Ensures regional supply planning functions and org / functional design, are at all time at capacity and in capability to plan and manage inventory up to commercial product stage & product form in line with latest forecast demand and that will meet business/customer demand.
- Actively support Operational Excellence & Quality improvement programs to improve efficient & reliable supply of Vegetables seeds to meet commercial expectations.
- Lead or support global/regional projects/ initiatives across entire supply planning function that are under your responsibility on time, people and budget.
- Increasing business contribution, secure high level of networking across other functions in supply chain and regional commercial leads.
- Maintain and report at agreed times the progress of the supply planning team and maintain agreed SLA & KPI’s.
Qualifications
Critical experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of experience in seeds / horticultural / agricultural business or supply chain in an international environment.
- 3-years’ experience in SAP
- Experience in working / leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and or departments.
- Supply Chain Operations / Planning / Project Management
- Team building and Change Management skills.
Critical Knowledge:
- Demonstrated understanding of ERP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in reporting from SAP, PowerBI
- Computer literate
- Fluent in English
- Working in teams
- Process harmonization / optimization
- Inventory & Performance dashboard / KPI’s
- Digitalization
Additional Information
Salary for the role is $108,500 - $201,500 per year.
