Job Description

Provide professional medical services to employees working on the farm. Provide clinical leadership and supervision of the clinic and any health-related issues in the company.

Supervisory

1. Supervises assigned nurse in the conduct of clinical care and delegates authority and responsibility when and where needed.

2. Reviews performance of assigned nurse to check for quality of care.

3. Assist in HSE supervision of the company

Clinical

1. Provides medical evaluation, treatment and consultation services to patients of the clinic.

2. Responds to emergencies and answers medical questions.

3. Obtains and documents, chief complaint, past medical, family and social history, review of  systems,  examination, medications and allergies, assessment and plan for each patient.

4. Provides medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals.

5.Reviews ancillary test results and coordinates notification to the patient.

6. Provides patient education as needed.

7. Supervises patient care in the clinic

8. Available to patients personally to answer questions and relay information regarding their care.

9. Completion of appropriate paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.

10. Completion of all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner.

Administrative

1. Works closely with the HSE Coordinator and HR Manager to provide leadership and medical direction for the clinic.

2. Attends all staff, clinical, or other special meetings as requested.

3. Performs other appropriate duties as requested by supervisors.

4. Supports the mission of Syngenta HSE policy

5. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.

Medical Administrative

1. Communicates with the clinic’s patients.

2. Responsible for approving and maintaining treatment protocols

3. Provides assistance with OSH, emergency preparedness, infection control and regulatory compliance.

 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • A university degree in Public Health, Nursing
  • Professional qualification in clinic set up
  • Registered Clinical Officer in Kenya
  • Over 5 year’s progressive experience.
  • Sound knowledge and working experience of Kenya Health Policy.

Working Conditions:

Medical office environment. Multi-task oriented position including direct patient care.

Must have visual acuity and manual dexterity to assist with procedures, perform and interpret lab results, and interface with computer. Must have auditory acuity to handle phone calls and extensive patient interaction
