What is the purpose of the role?

  • Finance Operations (FO) teams play pivotal role in this major transformation, representing in Regional cross functional project team the FO to deliver Syngenta CORE Finance
  • Enabling discussions on key deliverable within Finance Operations
  • Key stakeholder management
  • Cross functional collaboration to ensure project deliverables are met in time.
  • Identifying risk and mitigation plan

What are the key responsibilities of this role?

  • Accountable for the Finance Region Transition and Transformation delivery, including countries 
  • Secure required regional and countries resources are available considering the BF lead support for the BF Organization; accountable for resource mobilization for all project’s phases, from Fin Ops and BF teams.
  • Lead the Regional Finance PMG
  • Accountable for the Transformation and Communication in the region and countries and Finance operation
  • Partner with the Regional Finance Operations Head, to manage risks and issues related to Operations and escalation to the Finance Ops LT meeting 
  • Interact with Finance regional BF Leads and provide them support as needed  
  • Interact with the other Regional project Leads (P&S, IT, OCM, etc.) to assure cross stream integration 
  • Represent Finance in the Cross Stream Regional Forums
  • Accountable for managing risks and issues at regional and country levels and escalate them to the Global Finance Function Lead as needed.

Qualifications

Key skills / Essentials

Essential:

  • Understanding of Finance and business controlling processes. 5-7 years of experience
  • Project management experience. Must have been part of major transformation projects
  • Able to handle pressure and adhere to strict deadlines with the ability to perform effectively in and out time pressure
  • Collaborative skills
  • Good planning and time management skills
  • Strong team player in a multicultural environment
  • Finance process knowledge

Minimum education and critical knowledge required for the job

  • MBA / CA / CWA
  • High degree of literacy on project management principles
  • Basic and sound knowledge of accounting and reporting processes
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to quickly achieve results without compromising accuracy
