Job Description
Role purpose:
- To arrange the supply of raw materials & packaging materials to the production floor.
- To execute on time & smooth dispatches of products to up-country warehouses
- Responsible for following HSE MS & QMS standards per Syngenta standards & guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
- Perform daily equipment inspections before use
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and storage area
- Transport materials to designated locations within the facility
- Stack and arrange materials in storage areas efficiently
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment
- Report any safety concerns or incidents immediately
- Assist in inventory counts and stock checks
- Update inventory records as required
- Report discrepancies in inventory levels
- Pick and prepare items for shipment or production
- Ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Assist in packing and labeling when necessary
- Assist in organizing and optimizing warehouse layout
- Ensure proper storage of materials based on type, size, and frequency of use
- Follow all Syngenta regulations and standards.
- Maintain current forklift certification and any required licenses
- Inspect materials for damage during handling
- Report any quality issues observed during operations
Qualifications
- Requires at least 5-6 years of working experience in handling MHEs, especially experience in driving & handling forklift trucks within FMCG, chemical & pharmaceutical organizations.
- These jobs typically require formal qualification/training for handling & driving forklifts.
- At least SSC preferably DAE, preference will be given to DAE in mechanical technology.
- Develop skills to perform basic, repetitive, and manual activities on the job
Required to build know how to use equipment and machines. - Understands HSEQ standards, relevant IT systems, software, and work routines Performs most established procedures and will typically be considered semi-skilled through on-the-job experience.
- Has basic skills in relevant methods or processes, Typically works within clearly defined standards.
- Mainly resolves routine issues with minimal senior staff or supervisory guidance and approval.
- User-level working experience on any ERP software up to 3-4 years.
