Job Description
- Coordinate and direct scheduling of conditioning, reworking, packaging and treating processes with the Supply Planning Team.
- Direct supervision of plant personnel including 3rd party labor force – expect 50% of time on the floor.
- Coordinate tower preventative maintenance schedule with Operations Manager.
- Hire, train, and develop full time and 3rd party employees.
- Assist with management of key operations including processes from bulk storage to finished goods inventory.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality systems, processes, and programs for the site operations
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Quality Business Systems and processes, systems and programs for site operations
- Foster an operational culture founded on adherence to all applicable HSE and other corporate policies, procedures and guidelines. Active leadership around Syngenta’s Goal Zero initiative.
- Manage inventory of packaging and treating supplies to facilitate packaging needs through shipping and order estimates
- Understanding of seed labelling laws, seed certification laws and interstate shipment regulations
- Experience with industrial production equipment (Color sorters, Gravities, Premier Tech bagging system, Premier Tech palletizing system, Columbia Okura palletizing system).
- Strong detail orientation and ability to execute on a daily basis
- Strong computer skills and ability to work in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
Qualifications
- Ability to build networks with suppliers, internal site staff and stakeholders; reputation for consistent customer focus.
- Supervision of plant production to meet safety, quality, and reliability commitments, including shipping timelines.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained to enable manufacture of high-quality products.
- Experience with Automation/PLC systems.
- Ensuring seed inventory meets company requirements in terms of quantity, quality, and timelines.
- Ability to identify risk through process risk assessment and develop and implement risk mitigation solutions
- SAP process knowledge and entry accuracy.
- Individual must be authorized to work in the United States for Syngenta without work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
