Join our team as a Strategic Regional Crop Planner and play a pivotal role in strategically managing end-to-end crop supply plans across multiple years. You will collaborate with commercial teams to understand independent demand, define dependent requirements, optimize costs, and enhance working capital efficiency. Key responsibilities include coordinating crop supply plans, contributing to long-term sourcing and production strategies, and overseeing New Product Introductions (NPI).
The Challenge
As a Strategic Regional Crop Planner, you will provide valuable input to various teams, including Starter Material and Portfolio teams, ensuring alignment with assortment decisions and crop strategies. Your role extends to overseeing tactical and operational aspects of crop sourcing and supply strategies while maintaining a focus on 5-year crop supply tactics.
Your accountabilities include decision-making on production locations, volumes, and timely delivery of global supply plans, managing capacity, and optimizing production costs. You will maintain regional supply plans, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will identify future supply constraints, monitor performance metrics, and contribute to the long-term business plan.
Qualifications
The Profile
Critical success factors involve understanding business value drivers, establishing industry-leading supply capabilities, and actively participating in strategic supply chain projects. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree, strong knowledge of supply-related functions, and 3-5 years of experience in crop planning or related fields. Fluency in English is essential, along with proficiency in SAP and MS Excel.
Key competencies include conceptual thinking, effective communication, and the ability to make difficult decisions under pressure. As a Syngenta leader, you will prioritize customer-centric solutions, drive execution and results, foster collaboration, plan effectively, and lead change initiatives.
