Job Description

Provide project consulting to ongoing business initiatives. Provide required Design and Architecture for development and integration activities. Provide support and guidance to DevOps Team. Extend SME Support during MIM to drive faster resolution and future mitigation of the similar issues.

  • Develops and maintains a detailed view of existing architecture
  • Aligns ServiceNow platform capabilities to business strategy and ServiceNow roadmap
  • Consults  the Design Lead and Platform Support Team in implementation of technical good practices,policies and procedures
  • Provides architectural controls and analysis of impacts for new requirements
  • Identifies opportunities to combine similar solution needs
  • Provides leadership and participates in implementing new requirements on the ServiceNow platform
  • Consults to governance processes
  • Stays current on ServiceNow products and applicable integrated technologies
  • Part of Service Now DevOps team being responsible for design and architecture consulting  of new initiatives (projects, programs) as well as enhancement of the Syngenta ServiceNow Platform.
  • Consults implementation projects (working as an Agile/Srcum master or Project Lead)
  • Consults in  defining  of business requirements, scope, estimate work effort and determine duration of configuration and other development  activities
  • Be a gatekeeper for customizing and ensure only approved (by governance body) customizing requests will be implemented
  • Consults Design work  related to Scripting, Automation, Application Development, Data Migration, Configurations, Customizations, Scheduled Jobs, Plugins, integrations, Reporting and PA, Portal development, SLA,
  • Diagnose and isolate system related incidents through testing and work to design and develop workarounds and/or fixes for system related issues. Ability to document reproduction steps and generates defect reports.
  • Support the  design authority process related to  daily support activities including scripting, configuration, integration and administration
  • Provides consulting in Implementation Standards, coding principles and best practices
  • Collecting requirements, supporting implementation plans, to coding and execution of those plans.
  • Manage and Supervise  Scrum/SDLC module in Service Now explicitly for the development of Service Now.
  • Transform functional and business requirements into detailed technical designs that represent actionable development tasks
  • Design , Develop and manage testing processes for functional and regression testing.
  • Design  API and data integration processes between Service Now and other services with a strong understanding of ServiceNow Integration Hub
  • Design and Support generation of  operational reports and KPI analysis as needed
  • Recognize and report issues before they adversely impact the project schedule.
  • Provides support and consulting to process (SOP)  documentation for team and provides internal training to Service Now admins and developers.
  • Create and maintain user system procedures with user training wherever required.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal business hours to provide after hour or "on-call" support when necessary to solve high profile issues or complete critical path projects.

Qualifications

  • >= Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5-10 years work experience as ServiceNow Senior Developer / Consultant
  • Expert  in enterprise Service Management Platforms (see scope)
  • Advanced in ITIL (ITIL Foundation or higher certification)
  • Experience in more than one Service Now implementation
  • Advanced in working using  agile (Scrum) methodology (Experience as a Scrum team member)
  • Having a good understanding of customizing versus configuration on the Service Now platform
  • Expert in JavaScript, Jelly, and HTML/CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML, XHTML, AngularJS
  • Advanced with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, SQLServer)
  • Expert in Service Now Scripting
  • Experience writing or debugging OO code (Java preferred, other relevant technologies ok)
  • Advanced  understanding of CMDB configuration
  • Advanced Experience with web services via APIs
  • Advanced Experience with Single Sign-on implementations
  • Advanced  working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP
  • Service Now Admin and Development  certification
  • Advanced in ServiceNow Performance Analytics
  • Passion for learning and rapid iteration
  • Ability to pull a diverse group of individuals with different goals together and facilitate productive discussions
  • Experience of handling Bug Fixes and Enhancement requests.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Provide leadership and management of projects
