Job Description
Role purpose
- To achieve sales, collection and ensure profitability through high volume sales of value products through faster and agile decisions and smart negotiation with the channel
- People leadership – to lead team of Territory Managers to achieve the above.
Accountabilities
Sales & Commercial Acumen
- End to end accountability for sales and collection for Value portfolio in line with target assigned
- Keeping Sales inventories in control at marketplace
- Effective management of the A&P budget
Defining Strategy for Business growth
- Analyze new areas of growth and identify alternate business models to drive future growth
- Identify new ways of future revenue streams or business opportunities to exceed business targets
- Has deep knowledge and expertise of the region and identify the value portfolio of Syngenta and the market
- Defines the strategy for the region to maximize value for Syngenta and win sustainable business
- Responsible for driving year on year productivity
- Faster and agile decision making and entrepreneurship skills
- Responsible for digital roll out for the region
Channel Strategy & Management
- Implement the sales strategy, ensure the sales achievement through better channel management
- Use financial acumen and understanding of drivers of profitability for portfolio brands
- Ensure proper forecasting and accuracy of sales volume and contribute to division strategy, strategic agenda and overall management of the business for value
- Identify the right channel for Value portfolio.
- Stay connected with the channel - distributors, retailers etc.
- Manage the discipline in business processes - product tracking, forecasting and effectively control sales
Digitally enabled
- Use of Digital tools for increasing profitability with reduction of non value adding tasks
- Understanding of forecasting tools and ability to manage channel inventory4
Collaboration
- Ensure collaboration among the Innovation and Value sales teams to avoid cannibalization at all times
People Development
- Ensure that team is well equipped with the required information for making on the spot decision for good bulk deals
- Handhold the team members in their development areas to improve their performance
- Ensure that relevant market inputs are available for timely decision making
- Ensure compliance of all activities carried out in his/her team and provides regular compliance updates and trainings to subordinates
Qualifications
Critical Knowledge/skills/experience
- Agri Graduate/Post Graduate, Agri or general MBA with 5 to 10 years of of experience in relevant field
- Good financial acumen and strong decision making skills to play in volume
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership ability
