Please note: this role can be 100% remote, but does require a candidate to already be in the CONUS
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical vision and implementation of complex technology solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will architect and design high-performance, scalable, and reliable software systems. This role involves providing technical leadership, mentoring the engineering team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on product strategy and roadmap planning. In this role, you will work directly with stakeholders and technical partners to design and implement cutting edge software solutions that supports the business. You will be responsible for evolving our long-term roadmap of projects, defining tech stack & operational strategies. You will provide technical mentorship, drive software engineering initiatives and build end-to-end data solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost-effective. You will work with a wide range of technologies (e.g. Java, Full Stack, Python, AWS, GCP etc) and stay abreast of emerging technologies, investigating and implementing where appropriate. You will be responsible for developing the data architecture components that scales for the ever-evolving data needs.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the technical vision and implementation of complex technology solutions.
- Architect and design high-performance, scalable, and reliable software systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product strategy and roadmap planning.
- Drive best practices in coding standards, testing, and code reviews.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and evaluate emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 6-10 years of extensive development experience.
- Significant experience with cloud-based architectures.
- Experience in leading and delivering end-to-end software development projects.
- Expertise in Java, Python, advanced knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, Cloud and DevSecOps.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems.
- Expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning products, Algorithms, Implementation and deployment techniques.
- Strong understanding of software security and data protection.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Critical experience
- Experience working autonomously in global teams.
- Experience working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience partnering with an IT organization to develop and support software applications.
- Experience creating a strong team environment across a large set of separate agile teams and stakeholders.
