Job Description
The Inventory Accounting Lead will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy of products at multiple sites across the network. In addition, this role will be identifying discrepancies in inventory and working to resolve these discrepancies. The candidate will need to maintain good documentation of adjustments and audit control reports. The Inventory Account Lead will also plan, direct, and train remote sites on inventory management best practices and data input transactions.
Duties:
- Maintain compliance and work with both internal and external auditors
- Coordinate and manage monthly inventory reconciliations
- Resolve inventory issues, discrepancies, problem orders and intercompany transfer issues
- Have a continual improvement mindset
- Train remote sites on inventory control practices and procedures
- Recommend process changes to minimize inventory loss
- Act as the liaison between customer service and logistics for inventory-related issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics preferred or 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of SAP and Intermediate level Excel
- Experience with coordinating and working with many 3rd party service providers
- Strong customer focus and orientation
- Logistics/Production experience is highly preferred
- Ability to work days, evenings and weekends during business critical times
