Job Description

The Seeds R&D team is hiring a Scrum Master to help the team understand and embrace Scrum principles, practices, and values. They provide guidance on how to apply Scrum in the context of research and development projects. The Scrum Master will leverage agile principles and frameworks to empower teams to deliver on time with quality and fosters collaboration and communication within the R&D team and with external stakeholders. They encourage transparency, help resolve conflicts, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Accountabilities
- Facilitate scrum processes (events and artifacts)
- Coach and mentor scrum teams on agile principles, practices, and continuous improvement
- Promote culture of collaboration, self-organization, and accountability within the team
- Promote internal best practices
- Remove obstacles and roadblocks that hinder team’s progress
- Track the team's progress during sprints, monitors the completion of tasks, and helps the team stay on track to achieve their sprint goals
- Assist in tracking and visualizing relevant metrics and information
- Contribute to initiatives designed to evolve team processes and ways of working
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or similar scrum certification required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a scrum master or agile coach
- Solid understanding of software development practices and processes
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and their practical application
- Experience working with software development teams
- Experience working in a research and development environment desired
- Expert in JIRA and Confluence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent organization and time management abilities, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to motivate and coach team members
- Foster individual and team accountability
