Job Description

At Syngenta, we are working to build the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture that provides leading seeds and crop protection innovations to enhance the prosperity of farmers. We are currently seeking a Customer Account Specialist for the Customer Service Team in West Palm Beach, FL.
You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:
Providing reliable, high quality customer service to an assigned client base of Syngenta retail and grower customers by establishing strong, trusting relationships, and managing product order process from initiation through fulfilment.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining solid relationships with assigned client base.
  • Supply timely responses regarding product, pricing, and program information; Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all order management and fulfillment transactions.
  • Identifies and initiates necessary action to resolve issues between customer requirements and Syngenta’s ability to fulfill those requirements; Proactively communicates and/or escalates any product or order fulfilment issue(s) and proposed resolution(s) to all affected stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with key commercial stakeholders in support of overall sales and customer retention goals.
  • Communicates with Production and Supply stakeholders as required with respect to supply and demand and/or inventory issues.
  • Build trust and strong relationships with top tier customers.
  • Interact with various management levels, including senior staff.
  • Work with others to identify Centers of Influence (COI) and develop plans to strengthen relationships.
  • Handle conflict independently and identify appropriate resolution.
  • Ensures policy and procedure compliance at the operational level.  
  • Proactively solicits and uses coaching from others for self-improvement.  
  • Train others on team’s processes.
  • Exemplifies best practices and takes initiative to share ideas and suggestions with broader team.
  • Leads by example - Interpersonal awareness, positive attitude.  

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish.
  • Experience with Excel is required.
  • General understanding of Agriculture as it relates to Crop Protection, Seeds, and/or Farming practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, which refers to their ability to collect, interpret, and evaluate data or information to identify patterns, draw conclusions, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a role that required strong customer service including organization and management of multiple competing priorities under tight time constraints.
  • Individual must be authorized to work in the United States for Syngenta without work authorization sponsorship now or in the future. 
  • Agile and customer centricity approach or knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (commerce, agriculture, science) highly preferred
  • General understanding of Agriculture as it relates to Crop Protection, Seeds, and/or Farming practices.
  • Ability to plan, organize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP system (nice to have but not required)

  • Salary Range: $46,400 - $58,000
