Job Description

As a CP Production Finance Lead EAME, you will be responsible for being first point of contact and leading consolidation of financial information to support request from various levels within the CP EAME Production organization. Role purpose:

  • Active participation in the development and implementation of the relevant regional strategic plans to ensure clarity of the financial impact, including support of evaluation of business cases
  • Through appropriate balance of short, medium, and long-term financial planning and monitoring, drive effective and efficient delivery of business goals with sound financial analysis and critical challenging
  • Drive trade-off decisions taking account of impacts within and outside of direct scope
  • Drive the delivery of budgets, forecasts, and standard costing
  • Provide management with sound risk-based analysis on potential impacts, implications and propose potential ways to mitigate risks
  • To drive productivity and simplification in finance and related business processes in EAME FFP Finance.

  • Ensure seamless engagement and interaction with commercial, corporate and finance communities and stakeholders
  • Key member of the P&S EAME FF&P (Formulation, Fill & Pack) leadership team, co-owning & co-creating the strategy
  • Providing constructive challenge to the CP FF&P Head EAME and the rest of the leadership team
  • Lead financial processes across P&L and balance sheet scope for the entire EAME FF&P function connecting with various stakeholders:
    • Drive trade-off decisions taking account of impacts within and outside of FF&P
    • Influence and challenge to support the drive for productivity gains across finance through process and reporting improvement/alignment
    • Prepare and evaluate Regional strategic business cases (capital investments & strategic decision support)
    • Latest Outlook and Risks & Opportunities management for the EAME region
    • Lead and coordinate the full Product Costing and Budget preparation process for the region. Sufficient understanding of the costing to simulate the impact of changes
    • Explore & deliver opportunities for standard reporting & analysis tools, using Syngenta advanced technology
    • Utilizing the entire FF&P finance team to drive business priorities effectively
  • Actively shape and improve the key business finance processes
  • Manage a team of Production business partners, facilitate career development of team members.

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor/Master/Business School in Economics or Finance
  • 8-10 years of experience in different areas of business finance and controlling
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Experience in working with cross functional teams and ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Experience in influencing key stakeholders towards adopting and aligning to relevant procedures and tools
  • Wide knowledge of finance (financial analysis, investment analysis, valuation analysis, risk management, budgeting / planning, standard costing)
  • Strong leadership, influencing, teamwork skills
  • Project management skills
  • Successfully communicate ideas that proactively challenge business
  • High focus and energy with a pragmatic mindset and solution-oriented approach
  • ACCA/CIMA qualification is an advantage.
