Job Description

We are looking for a Group Transfer Pricing Manager based in Basel (HQ) to join our Global Transfer Pricing (TP) Team within Group Tax Function and support Head Group Transfer Pricing to manage TP affairs.

Accountabilities:                                                                                                           

  • Support Head Group TP on all Group transfer pricing affairs (covering the whole TP cycle, i.e., strategy/planning, operations, compliance, and risk management)
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal governance procedures in relation to transfer pricing
  • Manage and maintain the TP compliance framework of the Group (internal TP Guidelines, Master File, Local File Templates, CBCR, Intercompany Agreement Compliance Framework, Benchmarking, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain effective and efficient tax/TP processes and controls
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative relationship across all functions and Business Units and ensure alignment (e.g., customs, finance, etc.)
  • Monitor tax/TP regulations and developments (e.g. BEPS) & communicate and implement required changes to maintain compliance
  • Develop and implement transfer pricing concepts for new business/activities (including support in M&A and merger integration activities)
  • Support Tax/TP audits and APAs and  actively contribute to the maintenance of a strong & positive relationship with tax authorities & advisors
  • Support Head Group TP in supervising the effective tax rate of the Group and minimizing cash tax payments through careful transfer pricing planning; including tax risk management aspects and proper interaction with group auditors
  • Lead all TP affairs of assigned countries/territories
  • Represent Group Tax function in Transfer Pricing matters

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in economics, Finance or Law
  • Qualified Tax Expert or Certified Public Accountant; Proficient in Accounting & Reporting
  • Experience with global transfer pricing structures
  • Highly qualified tax professional with 7–10-year transfer pricing experience (consulting and industry)
  • Strong technical knowledge and proven track record in TP matters & ability to monitor TP trends & policies development across industries
  • Strong team player who drives results with high self-reliance degree
  • Technically knowledgeable & professionally skilled with ability to exercise sound judgment on tax matters of significance
  • Unwavering ethical behaviour combined with unmatched passion, strong commitment, perseverance & drive for quality excellence
  • Collaborative & adaptable personality who is comfortable within a complex matrix organisation subject to operating models' changes
  • Strong assurance combined with impacting style to professionally challenge executive decisions when appropriate
