Role purpose
Lead the North America sourcing strategy for Travel, Meetings & Events, and Fleet
Accountabilities
- Lead the North America sourcing strategy for Travel, Meetings & Events, and Fleet
- Develop and implement sub-category sourcing strategies across North America
- Build relationships with the global category teams and regional stakeholders in order to improve engagement and better understand the business needs
- Drive the adoption and implementation of global and regional solutions
- Manage supplier relationships and lead commercial negotiations through to contract implementation
- Investigate and recommend new tools and buying channels in the sub-category supply markets
- Provide in-depth supply market knowledge to business stakeholders and translate into strategic actions in North America
- Deliver targeted cost reduction and cost avoidance within the assigned sub-categories, ensuring no adverse impact on the functional stakeholders
The location for this position is highly preferred to be in Greensboro or Durham NC or Downer’s Grove, IL. Remote in the Eastern or Central time zones will be considered for a highly qualified person.

Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 to 10 years experience
- Capability in developing sourcing strategies
- Full knowledge of sourcing/procurement procedures and processes, and knowledge of the external trends and best practices
- Ability to quickly obtain a deep knowledge of the relevant supply markets
- Proven history as a successful Travel Manager and travel industry knowledge
Preferred Requirements
- Ability to influence peers, stakeholders, and geographically dispersed teams
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Contract negotiation and development
