Job Description

MAKE A DIFFERENCE

As a Grower & Customer Data Activation Manager, you will Lead, co-create, and implement, in partnership with our business stakeholders the broader Grower & Customer Data Strategy beyond commercial analytics for EAME CP. This plan should enable engaging omnichannel digital experiences across all touchpoints leveraging data with measurable impact on top & bottom line.

You will also lead a holistic data-driven marketing experience (Performance Marketing, eCommerce, Web presence, CRM, Programmatic, Creative, ID-graph) with strong sales and marketing technology understanding and business acumen. Co-create and prioritize, in tandem with key stakeholders the EAME CP Data & Analytics Product Roadmap, with a specific focus on MIOs (Managed Information Objects) and predictive data science models

Your main accountabilities will be:

Assess the current landscape:

  • Identify data assets across the region: key data sources, partnerships, agencies, existing loyalty programs, organization capability
  • In partnership with the Global Commercial Platforms team, assess the company’s current IT, data infrastructure, and capabilities
  • Work with prioritized Business Units to understand their business needs, target grower profile, journeys, key challenges, and main opportunities to be addressed via digital engagement
  • Run workshops to educate & surface priority cases to address with grower & customer data

Build the strategy:

  • Co-create the regional Grower/Customer strategy having an ambitious but realistic vision linked with business goals and getting key stakeholders’ alignment
  • Build and align a phased action plan (short - 1 to 2 y- /mid 3 to 4y & long-term -5y+ -) detailing focus areas, needed resources, and expected business outcomes; including clear milestones to bring the organization from its current state to the ideal state
  • The strategy should include first-party and second-party data acquisition tactics, enrichment, and activation with clear success measures and prioritization across Business Units
  • Lead the IT action plan to put together the necessary tech stack & IT architecture including existing and new elements: Data-lake/ data partnerships/ CRM links/ Mobile/ Web presence/ e-commerce /Digital marketing platforms/Analytics/ CDP/SAP/Connection to Cropwise/Digital Agriculture
  • Define data science exploration areas and draft testable hypotheses on which we will run experiments to improve business outcomes
  • Partner with Global Data & Analytics to implement a data governance framework to ensure data quality & reliability
  • Define the skillset we need our Business Units to develop to enable our Grower & Consumer Data strategy and work with Organizational Development to develop the right learning plan for the region

Activate:

  • Act fast with hands-on leadership to identify priority use cases with Business Units so we can demonstrate how data-driven marketing and sales activation can impact the business (B2B & B2C frameworks)
  • Foster an experimentation and learning culture to validate hypotheses within the framework of the strategy
  • Lead IT teams to connect the pipes across existing platforms while implementing new capabilities and helping qualify new vendor(s) to improve the stack when required
  • Partner across functions to build a digitally enabled content creation hub or factory
  • Establish a clear definition of success and KPIs to guide the organization through pilots
  • Lead trainings & workshops with Business Units to share use cases and best-practice/thought leadership

Expand and scale:

  • Work with early follower Business Units to develop the capabilities that enable data-driven marketing activation
  • Design and develop the platforms, processes, and analytics to scale proven models and lead IT & Business Unit teams to develop engaging personalized grower & customer experiences
  • Organize and grow the cross-functional customer & grower data connection team (IT, Data & Analytics, Digital Marketers, etc.)
  • Broaden the sources of data and activation touchpoints overtime (ex. distributor or e-comm data, R&D data, Digital Products & Services, etc.) and identify synergies across Business Units and product indications
  • Partner with Data Privacy to ensure compliance with data & privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

You will be a great fit if you have:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing, marketing analytics, marketing technology, CRM, or other adjacent relevant areas. Implementations in FCMCG or Direct-to-consumer companies would be ideal
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or another quantitative field or equivalent work experience
  • Masters or MBA an advantage
  • Proven experience in designing, experimenting & implementing a data strategy) for B2C and/or B2C businesses and delivering top and bottom-line impact
  • Though leadership on latest data & marketing technologies and their implications
  • Strong technical & commercial acumen (IT, marketing, & sales) with the ability to articulate the value of data & activation in a commercial context and turn strategic business objectives into digital activities
  • Experience in managing and working with digital media technology vendors, including CDP, DMP, Ad Serving, CRM, and Analytics software
  • Experience with data analytics concepts, data strategies, and building digital capabilities
  • Ability to keep an eye on the big picture, analyze data, and simplify findings
  • Effective stakeholder management and influencer with the ability to operate and get things done in a matrix organization
