To support that challenge, the Waterloo Production Team is currently seeking Logistics Coordinator in Elkhorn/Omaha/Waterloo area.
You will help shape the future of agriculture by: 

  • Producing a reliable supply of high-quality seed by executing production plant tasks assigned by Plant Management. 
  • Organize, perform, and lead in assigned departments to ensure all required processes, procedures and production requirements are met. 
  • Position will take on several roles based upon field production practices, plant processing requirements and distribution needs. 
  • Manage field operations, seed receiving, and conditioning equipment operations to ensure that all seed is properly handled and conditioned so the highest quality seed will be packaged to meet sale demands.

  • Strict adherence to all HSE & Corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Responsible for the adherence to product specifications
  • Active participation in plant projects, continuous improvement, and risk assessments
  • Minimize downtime through preventative maintenance and routine inspections
  • Ability to learn operation skills for a variety of equipment
  • Accurately checked seed movements for production orders or deliveries
  • Assist with inventory management, product movements, scale operation
  • Perform physical inventory and cycle counts
  • Ability to manage time wisely
  • Proactive communication both interdepartmentally and cross functionally
  • Provide direction and training for employees and third-party personnel as required
  • Perform other duties as required to meet field, plant, or site production needs

Qualifications

Requirements 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid US Driver’s License and in good standing
  • Willingness to obtain forklift certification (on-site training)
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and overtime
  • Ability to walk fields in all weather conditions and on various types of terrain
  • Ability to be on feet for long periods; frequent climbing stairs, bending and stooping
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs
  • Individual must be authorized to work in the United States for Syngenta without work authorization sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Requirements 

  • Experience working in Agriculture or Seed Industry
  • Associates and/or bachelor’s degree in an Agricultural related field
