To support that challenge, Syngenta’s Commercial Marketing Team is currently seeking a Fungicide Technical Product Marketing Lead in Greensboro, NC
As the Fungicide Technical Product Lead, you will thoroughly profile active ingredients and brands for utility and competitive advantages. You will provide brand training and/or materials for training to internal/external customers. You will provide technical support for portfolio development through designing brands that have technical integrity in performance, positioning and sustainability. In this role you will demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of fungicides by setting active ingredient and brand development priorities. Additionally, you will manage the development budget and projects for timely delivery.
Accountabilities
- Technically steward brands across product life cycle
- Interface with other technical groups (Field Development, Product Biology, Agronomy, Professional Solutions, Technology and Engineering)
- Develop protocols and scientific studies for thorough profiling of active ingredients (including resistance management), product/brand segmentation, and competitive comparisons
- Develop training materials (with Product Lead and/or CU Agronomy teams) for internal/external customers
- Global interface for exchange of technical information and strategies
- Ensure all brand strategies, business cases, positioning, claims, labels, and communications are supported by good science
- Communicate brand objectives across other groups (Biology, Research &Technology and Technical Services)
- Provide technical guidance, support, and evaluation of 3rd party Active ingredients
Qualifications
Requirements
- Master’s degree in plant pathology
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development or agronomy
- All applicants must be able to work in the US without sponsorship from Syngenta
Preferred Requirements
- PhD in Plant Pathology
- Knowledge of plant pathology and disease control
- Understanding of key agronomic factors in row, specialty and vegetable crops is desirable
- Knowledge of product development process, field trialling, protocol writing, information systems, and regulatory requirements
- Understanding of agriculture, marketplace dynamics, competitive environment and customer needs
- Ability to integrate various management practices together - incorporating insecticides, seed care, etc.
- Knowledge of brand strategies, development practices, and implementation is highly desirable
