Into Action

As a Global Logistics Transport Specialist, you support the Ocean, Tank and Air specialists in ensure in a smooth, compliant and customer-focused daily management of the Global logistics Ocean and Air transport operations. You will focus on the primary and secondary movements from order entry until the goods have been delivered at the final destination. This daily management is achieved by working with all service providers and by achieving a better alignment between the connected service providers and related Syngenta functions.

The Challenge

In the job of Global Logistics Transport Specialist, you evaluate new requirements from internal stakeholders for tank-container shipments and you advise and align with internal stakeholders on technical and operational aspects of Iso-Tank-Container operations. As part of your job you define the global standards for Iso-Tank-Container transportation including development, maintenance and deployment of the company policy and you define the required size, source and allocation of the Iso-Tank-Container fleet. Last but not least, you develop a solution for the global asset transparency and Market intelligence of the Iso-Tank-Container market.

Your Profile

To succeed in this position, you have 5+ years of professional experience in a logistics 3PL environment and you have a good knowledge of processes linked to logistics (e.g. warehousing, customs, order management) and practices of SAP SD/MM. Furthermore, you have a detailed understanding of international shipping and supply chain and broad and comprehensive knowledge of logistics in general and Iso-Tank-Container logistics in particular.
