About Us
At Syngenta, we are working to build the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture that provides leading Seeds innovations to enhance the prosperity of farmers. We are currently seeking a Technical Account Lead for the Hybrid Wheat Seed Production Team in the US Northern Plains. As a Technical Account Lead, you will have the overall responsibility for Agronomic support of hybrid wheat seed production, directly with third party seed company partners operating in the Eastern North Dakota and Western Minnesota.
You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:
Providing agronomic and technical information to support Hybrid wheat seed production to help customers optimize hybrid seed production, volumes, quality, and Cost of Goods
Working with regional Key Account Lead in setting and delivering local crop production support plan
Identifying Seed Production research and information needs and supporting their development
Working with the Key Account Lead and the Cereals Team to meet the financial targets for the region
Accountabilities
- Work as a team with the Key Account Lead to deliver the Hybrid Seed Parent Seed, Production and Revenue Targets and support financial objectives
- Associate Production Management and Training by developing and delivering production trainings for hybrid associates
- In-field agronomy assistance with associates in F1 hybrid production fields and follow-up evaluation improvement of production protocols
- Act as Parent Seed production liason by coordinating with Production and Supply to ensure parent seed delivery
- Coordinate with Key Account Lead to ensure accurate parent seed forecast
- Collect field by field: agronomic inputs and yield data
- Attend Kickoff and Research update Meetings – assembling technical support information for associates regarding Hybrid seed production
- Demo and yield plot management
- Logistics and technical support of required demonstrations and data generation
- With regional team, identify research needs to support Hybrid wheat in the market
- Coordinate with the Cereals Seed team, Seed production research needs and methods to generate such information and data
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Business, Agronomy, or Agricultural Science
- Strong knowledge of wheat production agronomy, and new technologies
- Willingness to travel extensively at certain periods of the year and spend time in Seed Production fields looking at products with customers
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong desire to achieve goals and encourage innovation
