Job Description

This role can be based in multiple location with Europe , Americas and Asia.

Purpose:

  • At Syngenta we have a passionate focus on our farmers. As the Digital Marketing Services Team Lead, you are for defining, optimizing and executing E2E digital services towards global Product Marketing teams as well as towards local market teams.
  • This team is one of the key pillars of the Global Digital Marketing department which works across/in service of all markets and global Marketing teams. It’s highly integrated with other Digital Marketing, IT and Commercial teams to ensure operational reliability, efficiency and optimization for all DM services. It also includes constant optimization and evolution of these capabilities and skills within the global organization.
  • Digital marketing is a key success factor for our company's future. As the industry gradually shifts from traditional to more digital marketing approaches, this role will play a crucial role in achieving our business goals and objectives by supporting this transformation within Syngenta. This includes a shift in mindset across global and local teams, implementation of strong processes, country support for campaigns execution and enablement with digital marketing tools.
  • The Digital Marketing organization will primarily work with the CP business, but also support Syngenta Seeds and Cropwise. The team works alongside the global product marketing teams to enable new product launches and regular marketing campaigns with a digital first mindset.

Accountabilities:

 

  • Accountable for defining, optimizing and executing E2E digital services towards global Product Marketing teams as well as towards local market teams.
  • Operational reliability, efficiency and optimization for all DM services, incl.: Content Management, Design, UX & animation, SEO/SEM optimization, URL and Domain Mgmt, Web & app advice & quality, Social Media governance, advisory and support.
  • Management of a globally distributed team, consisting of internal and external individuals, developing and mentoring them.
  • Advice, creation and updating of web pages and campaigns, enablement and education on how markets can make changes themselves, guidance in developing, publishing and updating mobile apps, support in product content creation, maintenance and publication.
  • Analysis, advice and execution of SEO improvements and SEM set-up.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 9 years of relevant experience working with digital marketing
  • Have in-depth knowledge of managing key Digital Marketing capabilities, including online campaigns on Google Ads, Facebook and Instagram, SEO/SEM, content management, asset design, usage and optimization of MarTech tools, copy optimization, dashboards, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the digital marketing domain, incl. campaigns, owned, earned, paid and social media
  • Have experience running small, medium and large campaigns in a global set-up
  • Can work collaboratively with our Branding, Commercial Excellence, Marketing Automation/IT teams and lead on channel strategy
  • Is confident in pitching and speaking to C-Level executives
  • An empathetic leader and willing mentor

  • Experience with change management and digital transformation
  • Having worked in large-scale, global organizations with a matrix organization / strong ability to navigate/influence stakeholders
  • Outstanding ability to understand markets, customer behavior (B2B and B2B2C) and structure analysis
  • Experience with digital personalization, A/B testing and leveraging technology in general, e.g., SFDC/MC
  • Dedicated team player, able to work in cross functional environment, strong in building and maintaining relationships
  • Problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in English
