To support that challenge, the Marketing team is currently seeking a Flowers Marketing Intern to be based in Gilroy, CA; Downer’s Grove, IL; Durham, NC; or remotely. As a Marketing intern you will work with the Flowers Marketing team to learn all aspects of the department.

Estimated Duration: May 2023 – August 2023
You will:
- Build marketing initiatives & tactical content for the Flowers business
- Learn product management fundamentals
- Train in-house and receive guidance from management and marketing
- Develop skills and experience to further your career
- Implement brand and product objectives
- Provide market intelligence and territory opportunity information, maintain CRM data as part of the process
- Advise sales team and channel partners on presentation of products and promotional materials
- Manage simple customer relationships regardless of direct or indirect channel
- Identify and analyze customer needs to the sales management and marketing organization
- Develop basic product knowledge
- Receive direction and assistance from marketing brand and communication leaders
Qualifications
What you must have:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Enrollment in a Bachelors in Marketing, Communications, Agriculture, Horticulture or closely related field of study
- Developed specialized skills, or a breadth of skills, through job-related training, on-the-job experience, and course work
What you might also contribute to the team:
- A demonstrated passion for agriculture and food production is a definite asset
- Knowledge of marketing processes, data insights & analytics, agronomics, general cropping practices, agricultural technology and trends and requirements for pest control
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, be self-directed and to work as part of a team
