Job Description
Your mission:
As part of strengthening our Infrastructure team, we are looking for an IT Systems / Network Engineer to contribute to the management of PC/server images and to ensure the proper functioning, security, and availability of critical network and proxy environments (primarily Zscaler).
This role combines strong hands-on operational activities with coordination and management responsibilities (support, vendors, escalations, documentation, continuous improvement).
Your responsibilities:
Management & Engineering
- Ensuring that business-critical systems remain stable, secure, and continuously connected.
- Overseeing day-to-day network activities, planning upgrades, and managing escalations or high-impact incidents.
- Managing network performance, reviewing vendor contracts, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and security standards.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives by defining, documenting, and enforcing network and system standards.
Proxy & Security
- Collaborating with security teams to define and implement proxy and security policies, including URL filtering, cloud application control, file filtering, DLP, and access management.
- Configuring and maintaining Zscaler-related features such as SIPA, Cloud Firewall, PAC files, NSS, and ZCC.
- Troubleshooting and resolving Zscaler incidents by analyzing logs, performing traces, and applying corrective actions.
- Suggesting and implementing improvements to enhance performance, capacity, and scalability across proxy and network layers.
Network Engineering
- Providing 2nd- and 3rd-level technical support for complex network issues.
- Configuring and installing network devices and services such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS.
- Monitoring network and system performance to ensure availability, reliability, and secure connectivity.
- Monitoring system resource utilization, trends, and capacity planning to anticipate future needs.
- Interfacing with external suppliers, including integrators and telecom providers, to support network delivery and operations.
- Supporting business-critical financial feeds and guaranteeing their availability through proactive monitoring and incident management.
Qualifications
Your profile and skills:
Experience and Knowledge
- You have experience in the field of networking;
- You justify in-depth knowledge of network and cloud architecture, design, and infrastructure;
- You are confident in managing third-party providers as well as coordinating with internal support teams.
Key Technical Skill
- You are proficient with Zscaler solutions, particularly ZIA and ZPA; you hold a Zscaler certification (considered an asset);
- You have experience managing corporate devices equipped with ZCC;
- You possess extensive hands-on experience with IPSec and GRE tunnel setup, configuration, and maintenance;
- You have expertise in firewall technologies such as Fortinet or Checkpoint;
- You have experience in analyzing network traffic through PCAP files, Fiddler logs, and HTTP/HTTPS headers;
- You have professional experience related to network architecture, including Cisco technologies and Cisco ACI;
- You possess knowledge of LAN, MAN, and WAN implementation and troubleshooting;
- You are familiar with Python or another scripting language;
You are skilled in producing clear, structured, and comprehensive technical documentation.
Soft skills
- You are capable of managing relationships with multiple teams, and comfortable working independently;
You have strong communication skills; - You are rigorous, service-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
Language and residency
- You are fluent in both French and English;
- You are a Swiss resident.
