Job Description

To reinforce the Synechron Switzerland team, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer with experience in Infrastructure. Our mission is for one of our clients, a Private Bank in Geneva.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will join a team which designs and integrates software applications, ranging from portfolio management systems to sales and corporate solutions. It prioritizes innovation, ensures business continuity, and has a strong appetite for new technologies and methodologies such as Agile, DevOps and Cloud/.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will design, build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS such as EKS cluster, using best practices for performance, security, scalability and cost optimization.
  • You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across various environments, guiding code through each stage of the software development lifecycle.
  • You will manage templates for the capabilities used in the platform such as CI/CD pipelines and Terraform infrastructure as code (IAC).
  • You will monitor system performance, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • You will draft and be in charge of a documentation of infrastructure configurations, roll-out pipelines and DevOps best practices to ensure consistency for your team.

Qualifications

Profile and skills:

  • You justify a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
  • You possess a proven experience working in a DevOps role with a focus on infrastructure and operation.
  • You show a passion for and experience in building resilient, secure and scalable services.
  • You are experienced with public cloud providers (e.g. AWS), especially with multi-tenant architectures.
  • You can work proficiency in Git, Git workflows and infrastructure as code (IAC), using tools such as Terraform.
  • You have an AWS, Kubernetes and/or Terraform certification.
  • You possess scripting and automation skills.
  • You consider yourself a problem solver, with good communication skills. 
  • You speak English and French.
  • You are a Swiss resident or you are willing to relocate.
