Description:

An established foreign food manufacturer has expanded its business in the United States and is currently looking for an Accounting Clerk to join the accounting team in Los Angeles, California. The Accounting Clerk will report to the Accounting Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for daily routine accounting transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) functions
  • Verify and reconcile simple bank statements
  • Assist with the company monthly budget reconciliation and analysis
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual government tax reports by the due date to avoid penalties
  • Process year-end Form 1099-MISC to vendors in a timely manner
  • Handle confidential documents, reports, and data properly and maintain the confidentiality of this information
  • Perform other duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a similar field
  • 1 to 3 years of accounting experience
  • Must be proficient in GAAP rules
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule depending on the operational needs
  • Must be accurate and detail-oriented
  • Must be a team player with excellent people and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with computer skills. (MS Word and Excel, Google Applications)
  • Experience with Intuit QuickBooks preferred
