Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in software development and trading systems
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, SQL, and Git
• Experience with messaging technologies: Kafka, MQ, FIX, FpML
• Proficiency in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Integration)
• Experience with data modeling and data standards
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps practices
• Experience working in Linux and Windows environments
• Knowledge of Equities products and trading systems
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop trading and messaging channels interfacing with exchanges and external venues using industry-standard protocols
• Build and maintain mission-critical front-office and operations systems
• Develop core components using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and MQ
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including trading, operations, and technology stakeholders
• Lead system enhancements, modernization, and cloud migration initiatives
• Support platform stability, performance, and operational excellence
• Coordinate and execute system integration and testing procedures
• Provide Level 2 production support and troubleshoot complex issues
• Mentor and guide junior developers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or capital markets (Equities focus)
• Hands-on experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and Smart Order Routing (SOR)
• Understanding of trade lifecycle and regulatory reporting
• Experience managing market data feeds and downstream integrations
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and production support experience
• Experience with application profiling tools
• Familiarity with Python and/or Angular
• Strong communication and organizational skills
