Job Description
The Principal Systems & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer serves as the senior technical leader responsible for the design, performance, and security of enterprise IT environments that support business operations and client success. This role combines hands-on technical excellence with the ability to guide teams, influence strategy, and represent the organization in high-level meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
The individual will oversee infrastructure across Azure Cloud, virtualization, networking, and cybersecurity while driving innovation through automation and AI-led solutions. They will play a key role in advancing the company’s AI growth initiatives—integrating intelligent systems into internal DevOps processes and developing scalable, secure frameworks for client adoption.

Key Responsibilities
Architect, deploy, and manage hybrid cloud infrastructures integrating Azure services with on-premises systems.
Design and maintain secure and resilient networks, including VLAN segmentation, routing, VPN, and next-generation firewalls.
Oversee virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V) to ensure performance, redundancy, and scalability.
Lead and mentor IT support and engineering teams, providing strategic and technical guidance.
Participate in client and executive meetings to present solutions, infrastructure updates, and improvement roadmaps.
Develop and implement security, compliance, and governance frameworks following NIST and industry standards.
Lead AI initiatives that enhance internal DevOps automation, predictive maintenance, and service delivery.
Collaborate with clients to integrate AI solutions that improve operational visibility, decision-making, and efficiency.
Oversee disaster recovery, backup management, and incident response planning to maintain business continuity.
Evaluate emerging technologies to strengthen system performance, reduce operational risk, and drive innovation.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in systems, cloud, and infrastructure engineering with proven leadership capability.
Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, networking, hybrid identity, cost optimization).
Advanced knowledge of VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and firewall management.
Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms including VMware or Hyper-V.
Strong Windows Server background with AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy administration.
Solid understanding of cybersecurity architecture and compliance best practices.
Demonstrated success leading technology modernization and automation projects.
Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills.
Self-driven with a sense of ownership and commitment to operational excellence.

Fortinet NSE or Cisco CCNP

Schedule: Monday–Friday, normal business hours EST. On Call Afterhours.
