Job Description

We are looking for a DevOps Tech Lead to join the team in Sydney or Melbourne.  Love automation and a challenge while working with a growing global technology company?  Do you enjoy all things Cloud and Cloud migrations?  If so, this might be the role for you.

To support our Agile workflows and infrastructure, we are looking for someone to take the reigns and drive our Cloud adoption strategy and also our best practices around shared CI/CD pipelines and resources.  Working closely with our application teams, you will be part of the journey of Cloud adoption and migration as the primary resource in assisting those teams in achieving their vision.

What you'll do as a Technical Lead: 

Within Systems Engineering, you will assist the team in standardising and uplifting our automation stacks with a strong focus on CI/CD pipelines via Gitlab.  You will drive infrastructure as code and container adoption, both within our on-premise and cloud environments.  Being a technical lead, you will be looked upon to provide guidance and assurance within the team and be a focal point on design and build.

Qualifications

What you'll need to succeed: 

  • Strong Ansible/Terraform skills, especially around shared roles/modules.
  • Proven experience in automating, deploying and maintaining large CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong skills in deploying and maintaining containerised stacks with in a shared deployment environment (Kubernetes highly advantageous)
  • Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal which will help with wider adoption and best practices of IAC within the business
  • Good knowledge of Linux, storage and networking in order to be able to understand and rebuild/re-deploy current infrastructure stacks via automation
  • Excellent knowledge of Python, Bash, HCL/YML and Json.
  • Proven experience in designing and deploying large enterprise projects and being the "go to" person in the technical discussions/design decisions for them
  • Excellent knowledge of AWS with a focus on IAM/Lambda and EC2 and hybrid environments with direct connects to on-prem infrastructure
