Job Description

We are currently looking for a Global IT Officer to join the team. The Global IT Officer is responsible for the high-quality operation, maintenance, support and expansion of the company’s worldwide Corporate IT infrastructure. Reporting to the Head of Global IT, you will be responsible for the daily management, monitoring and support services of all IT applications, systems and end user computing services.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide day to day assistance to staff for their workstations and related applications globally
  • Monitor and support all IT applications and systems including Voice & Video (PBX & Voice/Video Conferencing, Mobile), Data (LAN, WAN, WIFI, VPN), Applications (Office 365 applications, Exchange, Wiki, Active Directory), Security (CCTV, Firewalls) and Peripherals (Printers, Laptops)
  • Monitoring BSS/OSS platforms (Logged, RT, Cherwell and proprietary systems) such as File Servers, Backup Servers, VMware & Hypervisor environments along with AWS VPCs.
  • Manage staff access to corporate facilities and services
  • Maintain the integrity and manage expansion of corporate IT infrastructure, which includes procurement, upgrades, testing and deployments of new IT equipment
  • Liaise with 3rd Party Support partners and vendors, as well as helping to maintain relationships
  • Participate in an after-hours and on-call roster

Qualifications

To be successful, you will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Microsoft Windows systems administration, Microsoft Exchange Server & Domain Controller Administration. Office 365 experience highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years IT support experience in a Corporate environment
  • Demonstrated experience in PBX and Video Conference administration (Mitel, ShoreTel, Avaya, Cisco, Lifesize or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge of PC desktop hardware and internal components
  • Strong technical knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper V, KVM, AWS)
  • Strong technical knowledge of routing protocols, firewalls and data networks (Cisco, FortiGate, Juniper)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux, MySQL, bash and shell scripts
  • Good time management, ability to manage workload independently and work under pressure
  • Experience supporting multiple stakeholders
  • Effective communication skills and ability
  • Team player, strong work ethics and a positive attitude
