We are currently looking for a PHP Software Engineer to join the team in Melbourne for a 12 month fixed term contract.  You will be maintaining one of our operational and business support platforms. Our customers rely on our products to connect, communicate and do business globally. Your role will involve building with best practices and resiliency in mind, adhering to agile processes and dealing with business and technology stakeholders. 

What you'll do as a Software Engineer:

• Develop robust, secure and performant code
• Participate in code reviews and manage deployments
• Work in an agile environment and help to improve these practices

What you'll need to succeed:

• Proven hands-on skills in PHP 
• Experience in PHP frameworks, preferably Laravel or Symfony
• Sound knowledge of MySQL and Linux 
• Self-learner with sharp analytical abilities, able to hit the ground running

Bonus points for the following nice to have skills: 

• Experience in any JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular or Vue
• Fundamentals in HTML 5, JavaScript & CSS
• Exposure to CI/CD practices and tools
• Familiar with AWS or other cloud technologies
