Job Description

We are looking for a People Experience (PX) Business Partner to join our People Experience team. Reporting to the Head of Strategic Business Partnering, this role will support the day to day operation of the PX function for the Technology Business group across Symbio offices globally and will be responsible for delivering a professional, credible PX Service, grounded in HR best practice, our Company Values, and the current legislative framework.

The position will include day-to-day generalist, operational human resources management support (across Employment relations, Performance, L&D, WHS, and Reward) throughout every stage of the employee lifecycle. 

The role will work in partnership with the Chief Technology Officer and the Technology Leadership and Management teams to strengthen our reputation as an excellent employer, help to build Symbio’s employer brand and create an environment in which our people develop to their full potential and are committed to giving their best.

A key focus of the role will be to build PX capability within the Technology Business Unit so that Managers feel confident and empowered to deal with less complex PX matters and are learning through coaching and practical experience.  Developing trust and strong partnerships across the business and improving the current PX foundation and practices will also be a major part of the position.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary PX qualification such as PX, Psych (or similar)
  • 4-5 years’ post-qualification experience in a generalist PXBP role ideally within a rapidly growing Technology SME
  • Proven track record in a similar Technology HR role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel
  • Proven track record in dealing with employee relations matters
  • Credible, with the ability to quickly earn the trust of internal customers at all levels in the organisation
  • Highly motivated
  • Tech savvy – experience with HRIS and PX metrics
  • Ability to learn and develop quickly through personal initiative
  • Sound working knowledge of Australian employment law. Working knowledge of employment law in UK/New Zealand/Singapore would be a distinct advantage.
