Job Description

We are looking for a Graduate Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role will report to a Lead Software Engineer and is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the call routing systems at Symbio.  This is a full stack, hands on role that will be developing new features for our customer.  You will have access to people who are experts in their field to help you apply what you have learned at University into practice.

 You will be responsible for:

  • Design, build, maintain, deploy, and support our platform systems using Java, React, C++, PHP, or JavaScript 
  • Develop new features for our customers to meet business needs
  • Build out new functionality to help us scale our platforms globally
  • Collaborate in an agile environment where teams own their entire technology stack end-to-end
  • Participate in solution design discussions and code reviews

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Recently completed a university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or other related degrees
  • High performing, demonstrated by a credit average grade
  • Previous work experience or internship is an advantage, but not necessary
  • Good understanding of software products or patterns
  • Knowledge of containerisation technology (Docker or Kubernetes)
  • Bonus points if you have experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS)
  • You are highly motivated and able to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
  • Curious about technology and solving problems
  • Positive and friendly attitude
