About the role
This 12-month Maximum Term Contract role involves preparing month-end accounts and financial reports, managing forecasting and budgeting processes, planning capital expenditures, and developing business cases to support decision-making. You will also be responsible for tracking debtors and contributing to key projects within the commercial business. Working closely with the Commercial FP&A Manager and Senior Financial Analysts, this fixed-term contract offers an exciting opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

About the team
The Commercial Finance team is a vital part of our airport’s operations, providing both standalone expertise and cross-functional support to other business units. Covering a broad range of functions, including FP&A, Financial Control, Capital, the Enterprise Project Management Office, Procurement, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Treasury, Insurance, Tax and Corporate Finance, the team fosters a collaborative environment where teamwork is key to success. With a commitment to continuous improvement, the team actively seeks opportunities to enhance, simplify, and streamline processes across the business, making a real impact on operational efficiency and outcomes.

In this role, you will be

  • Providing FP&A support, including preparation of monthly management accounts, journal entries, accruals, management reports, and trend analysis
  • Delivering analytical insights to help management understand business dynamics, trends, and their underlying drivers
  • Supporting business cases and approval memos for contract renewals, financial analysis, tender evaluations, and sales performance insights
  • Driving the annual Corporate Plan process, including a detailed 5-year outlook, long-term forecasts, and projections for revenue, costs, and capital expenditure
  • Preparing risk and opportunity assessments for revenue and capital expenditure
  • Contributing to projects such as data analytics, trend analysis, and the development of dashboards for cost and revenue drivers

About you

  • Hold an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline, with CA, CPA, or equivalent certification
  • Bring 5+ years of experience in finance business partnering, month-end reporting, and FP&A processes in a corporate environment, ideally in retail, property, or parking industries
  • Demonstrate a strong financial understanding, with the ability to analyse data and deliver meaningful insights that drive strategic outcomes
  • Possess excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders, including senior management
  • Excel at cross-functional collaboration, sharing knowledge and fostering partnerships across teams to achieve organisational goals
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data visualisation tools like PowerBI, with experience using ERP systems such as Oracle
  • Thrive in environments of change and continuous improvement, with a pragmatic mindset focused on delivering tangible business outcomes
  • Adept at managing competing priorities and delivering quality work within deadlines, while maintaining a developmental mindset for self-improvement
