About the role
Join our Aviation Growth and Growth Strategy (AGGS) team as a Senior Financial Analyst and play a key role in driving business success. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with the Manager, Financial Performance to ensure the efficient production and distribution of accurate financial and performance analysis. You will also deliver business case and commercial insights that support strategic objectives, contributing to the growth and success of the business.

About the team
The AGGS team is a vital part of our airport’s operations, providing both standalone expertise and cross-functional support to other business units. Covering a broad range of functions, including Investor Relations, Financial Control, Financial Planning and Analytics, Budgeting, Billing, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Treasury, Commercial, and Procurement, the team fosters a collaborative environment where teamwork is key to success. With a commitment to continuous improvement, the team actively seeks opportunities to enhance, simplify, and streamline processes across the business, making a real impact on operational efficiency and outcomes.

In this role, you will be

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including journal entries, accruals, and General Ledger reconciliations for the AGGS business unit
  • Delivering business case and partnering with senior stakeholders to provide commercial insights to support key aviation projects
  • Developing and delivering monthly reports on business performance, trends, and KPIs (Revenue & Opex)
  • Supporting the preparation of the Monthly Finance Report for the board and shareholders, consolidating insights across finance functions
  • Assisting with the development of detailed budgets and forecasts, covering Revenue, Opex, and Capex
  • Providing analytical insights based on financial and operational data to identify trends, underlying drivers, and actionable solutions
  • Supporting the preparation of the 5-year Corporate Plan consolidation and quarterly reforecasts as required by management
  • Contributing to project initiatives enhancing financial performance and process efficiency
  • Collaborating on the operation and future development of IT systems related to Aviation Billings and Business Intelligence tools
  • Acting as a business partner to support the AGGS business unit


About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Chartered Accountant or similar qualification preferred
  • Proven experience with month-end reporting and FP&A processes in a corporate environment
  • Familiarity with investment and valuation methodologies, including DCF, IRR, EV, and cost of capital
  • Extensive business partnering experience with strong stakeholder manager skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to senior stakeholders
  • Proficient in analysing financial data to extract meaningful insights that drive strategic decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders and influence at all levels, including senior management
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI; experience with Oracle GL or similar ERP systems is advantageous
  • Motivated by change and continuous improvement, with a pragmatic approach to achieving business outcomes
