Job Description
As Relationship Manager within the EAM Business Line, you are responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of External Asset Managers and their underlying business relationships.
You act as the primary point of contact for your clients, ensuring a high level of service, identifying business opportunities and coordinating internally to provide an efficient and professional client experience.
The role combines relationship management, commercial development, client governance and close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage and develop a portfolio of EAM clients.
- Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day relationship and business matters.
- Build strong and sustainable relationships with External Asset Managers and key decision makers.
- Understand clients' business models, needs and future development potential.
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships through additional assets, trading activity, products and services.
- Monitor the business contribution and potential of assigned client relationships and take appropriate action where expectations are not met.
- Conduct regular client meetings and ensure relevant information and follow-up actions are properly documented.
- Coordinate client onboarding, account openings and lifecycle activities together with Support, BRM, Compliance and other internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely completion of client file reviews and other regulatory or governance requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate pricing proposals, special conditions and commercial offers in line with the applicable approval framework.
- Proactively identify and escalate client, operational, financial or reputational risks. (Key Risk Indicators)
- Handle client issues and escalations and coordinate appropriate solutions internally.
- Work closely with Business Development, Trading, Product, Operations and other teams to provide an integrated Institutional service.
- Contribute to Business Line initiatives, client portfolio reviews and continuous improvement of the EAM offering.
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in Relationship Management, Client Advisory or a comparable role within banking or financial services.
- Good understanding of the External Asset Manager / Independent Wealth Management environment.
- Knowledge of securities, trading, custody, FX and institutional banking services.
- Strong client orientation combined with a commercial mindset.
- Ability to independently manage a client portfolio and prioritise multiple requests.
- Good understanding of KYC, AML and client governance requirements.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, accountable and comfortable working across different teams and locations.
- French: fluent or native-level required – English: professional working proficiency – required
- German: strong advantage
