Job Description

  • Lead daily the supervision of the (Lombard) loan book, ensuring  compliance with credit policies and proactive identification of emerging risks.
  • Lead credit-worthiness assessments and collateral risk analysis for new lending requests.
  • Challenge first-line lending decisions with independent, data-driven insights.
  • Drive the review and enhancement of pledge-rate methodologies across eligible asset classes.
  • Perform credit risk capital requirements, including counterparty credit risk and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations .
  • Lead the development and improvements of credit monitoring tools for the Bank
  • Prepare and present key risk analysis / reports to management and internal committees.
  • Shape risk management policies and procedures to strengthen the bank’s credit integrity.
  • Provide independent risk assessments for new products and services.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of banking experience in Luxembourg or the EU, with strong exposure to credit risk oversight.
  • In-depth knowledge of CRR (Capital Requirements Regulation), specific expertise in credit risk, IFRS9 and EBA guidelines on loan origination and monitoring
  • Proven ability to provide independent risk oversight at a senior level
  • Hands-on experience in risk monitoring and challenge of first-line lending activities.
  • Strong leadership, analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence across business lines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Bloomberg Terminal. Programming skills are a plus (MS Access, VBA)
  • Excellent communication skills in English; French is a plus.
