Job Description

As Tax Compliance Officer, you will be a member of the Tax Compliance team, in charge of implementing ongoing projects and supervising operational activities relating to international tax compliance matters, i.e. mainly QI, FATCA and AEOI. You will be reporting directly to the Tax Compliance Manager and, ultimately, the Head of the Client Onboarding & Administration Department.

You will have a wide range of tasks which include:

  • Lead and participate in the writing of internal reports and memoranda.
  • Elaborate and participate in trainings provided by the team.
  • Follow-up on novelties in the tax compliance field, analysing tax compliance rules, translating them into procedures (e.g. CARF) and maintain such procedures up-to-date.
  • Provide support to different departments of the Bank as well as to other entities of the Group, in particular in relation to requests for opening and monitoring of corporate structures.
  • Participate in operational tasks, including in second line of defence controls and timely preparation of tax compliance reporting.

Qualifications

  • Master of Law is a must.
  • Native English (or fluent in English) and excellent knowledge of French are a must.
  • Writing skills and taste for elaborating and arguing on both theoretical and practical aspects of complex tax related situations and topics are a must; such oral skills are a plus.
  • 2 to 4 years track record in QI, FATCA and/or AEOI, preferably in a banking or finance environment, are a plus. Proficiency with Excel is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Eager to learn and ready to take on challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, results-oriented, team player.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
