As an IT Senior System Administrator, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and learn from experienced professionals. You will be part of a global team that values diversity, innovation, and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our NoMachine cluster and provide support for local and remote user access.
  • Provide local Ubuntu and Windows desktop user support, including troubleshooting, PC’s installation, printers, and related devices.
  • Perform maintenance on Ubuntu Desktop
  • Perform maintenance on local servers running Windows Server with HQ teams- Ensure availability of userland applications and tools - Oversee network connectivity with headquarters.
  • Document, review, and enhance existing processes and workflows.

Work with Infrastructure & Platform teams to assess feasibility and implement an enterprise-grade native Ubuntu setup, including:

  • Installing, configuring, updating, and maintaining Ubuntu desktop/laptop machines in accordance with enterprise standards and policies.
  • Monitoring and managing backup and restore on desktops/laptops using our internal tool.
  • Monitoring and optimizing desktop/laptop performance and security.
  • Implementing a centralized disk encryption tool for Ubuntu on laptops.
  • Documenting, reviewing, and enhancing existing processes and workflows.
  • Collaborating with other IT teams and vendors to ensure the quality and availability of Ubuntu deployment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in service desk support and IT administration, with Linux-based systems.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu) operating systems, encompassing commands, shell scripting, Python, Docker, KVM, file systems, and related areas.
  • Expertise in Ubuntu machine administration and proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, and Packer.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitHub, and GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory.
  • A service-oriented approach with a strong emphasis on client care.
  • Self-motivation, a commitment to continuous learning and skill development, and a collaborative spirit to contribute to your team's success.
  • Fluent in English (knowledge of French is a nice-to-have)

Strong Pluses:

  • Proficiency in VDI/Citrix setup administration.
  • Proficiency in Vmware administration
  • Previous experience in Ubuntu Pro Desktop and Landscape administration.
