Swissquote Bank Europe serves 15,000+ clients who have chosen to manage their own investments in stocks, ETFs, investment funds and cryptocurrencies thanks to our online platform.

We are looking for an individual with a high level of professionalism and motivation to join our Sales Team and help the bank achieve new business acquisitions and increase sales revenues.

As Sales Manager, you will directly support the Head of Sales in converting prospects into clients, participating in events, preparing internal and external presentation, and staying-in touch with key clients/prospects.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Identify prospects and convert them into clients, and organise introductions to potential clients, which generate new sales,
  • Achieve client acquisition targets (revenue and AuC), monitor client activity data and sales figures,
  • Leverage your existing network and actively prospect for potential clients, building relationships and generating leads,
  • Establish a referral network and help coordinate client events which generate new prospects,
  • Manage inbound mails or queries from potential prospects from different sources e.g. LinkedIn, Company website, prospects met by other colleagues, etc,
  • Facilitate the transition from prospect status to client status by coordinating the on-boarding work of support functions to achieve the best possible client experience,
  • Build and maintain internal relationships in our various departments (Client Service, Compliance, etc.),
  • Stay current on our product offerings and serve as a trusted advisor,
  • Monitor client activity data and sales figures, provide analysis and recommendations,
  • Help implement the business plans and strategies to maximise revenue and build strong client relationships,
  • Produce management information packs for the Head of Sales with concise and pertinent financial information,
  • Give compelling presentations to a diverse audience (management, clients, prospects, etc.),
  • Attend industry conferences/events and generating new contacts and leads,
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to team success and place team goals above personal achievement, build and maintain internal relationships. 

Qualifications

You have:

  • Fluency in English and French - Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal),
  • Minimum of 5 years’ previous sales experience in the banking sector,
  • Experience in individual and institutional sales and client relationship management,
  • Knowledge of the European investment market and products and services covering mass affluent retail, accredited (professional) and institutional investors,
  • Knowledge of the MiFID and Luxembourg banking regulatory environments and associated legal requirements,
  • Understanding of investment product governance and sustainable finance; characteristics and applications,
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence and persuade,
  • Highly organised and accurate,
  • Ability to listen and interpret the needs of our clients,
  • Motivated by sales targets,
  • Willingness to travel for work and to participate in evening events.
