Job Description
As a Legal Officer, you will be part of the Legal department. Amongst others, your tasks will typically be the following :
- Review, negotiate and draft contracts and/or any other documentation of the Bank,
- Manage and assist with communications with data subjects, clients, partners, regulators or other authorities,
- Take care of complaints or litigation matters,
- Provide legal support to the management of the Bank as well as to subsidiaries of the Bank (including abroad),
- Provide appropriate legal support and advice to the different departments of the Bank,
- Provide legal analysis of new banking and privacy & data protection laws as well as new technologies and monitor regulatory changes,
- Advise on and identify legal requirements and controls to enable privacy compliance,
- Write, implement and review internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Master degree in Law, preferably from a Swiss university,
- Membership to a Bar or any additional qualifications are considered as an asset,
- Familiarity with the financial services industry is a plus,
- Affinity with technology and understanding of related legislation (data protection, IT & IP),
- Perfect command of English and French with very good command of German,
- Strong drafting capacities, e.g. of contracts or procedures,
- Ease to communicate with stakeholders globally verbally and in writing, both internally and externally,
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Strong team-working and collaboration skills,
- Ability to monitor and organise own workload and meet work objectives,
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure,
- Self-motivation.
