As Head of Compliance - Onboarding, you will be part of the management (as a Vice-Director) and report to the Head of Compliance. You will oversee the work of the Private Clients team and of the Corporate Clients team (approx. 20 people overall) and their respective managers.

Your missions:

  • Provide expertise with respect to the review of account opening files for individuals, corporate and institutional clients (including independent asset managers) from an AML/CTF, FATCA, QI, AEOI, cross-border and business policy perspective
  • Be a key interlocutor for the first line of defense, including the business risk management units
  • Play a central role in the review of complex files, including when such are submitted to the Bank’s Executive Committee
  • Advise, support, coach and train the relevant Compliance teams and the first line of defense for AML/CTF and other compliance matters
  • Help optimizing the account opening processes
  • Ensure that the relevant service levels are met or take corrective actions
  • Draft and review key internal regulations
  • Play a key role in relation to regulatory audits and projects addressing the onboarding of clients
  • Participate in the consolidated supervision carried out by the Bank over the foreign entities of the Group (including in Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Luxembourg and Singapore)

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will need the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • University degree in law or business (or equivalent diploma). A Certificate of Advanced Studies in Compliance Management would be a strong asset
  • At least 7-10 years of  experience in the Compliance of a Swiss bank, including at least 3 years of management experience
  • Solid knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework applying to a Swiss bank, in particular in the AML/CTF field
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; leadership and excellent people management skills
  • Proactivity, solution-oriented attitude and ability to prioritize and manage demanding workloads
  • Excellent command of English and French are required.
