Overview

Reporting to the Head of HR and part of a team of 3 people, the role will contribute to provide a professional Human Resources service to the Bank and is responsible for providing coaching, guidance and project support on people matters to all areas of the business.

Involvement will be in terms of resourcing solutions, employee relations matters, performance management, ESG and HR reporting requirements, learning & development, employee engagement and HR project implementation.

The role will be based in the Luxembourg office and will report to the Head of HR & Corporate Governance in Luxembourg.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting appropriate permanent and temporary resource in a timely manner
  • Support and coach people managers in all areas of performance management
  • Coaching and developing line managers on people issues
  • Contributing to the success of the Bank’s ESG initiatives
  • Aiding the effective management of employee training and development
  • Producing HR Management Information and reporting on a monthly and annual basis ensuring that the Bank complies with legal requirements with respect to mandatory reporting including collection and data processing
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors to provide accurate information
  • Promoting and supporting the employee satisfaction survey
  • Analysing and informing the business of relevant trends from HR MI
  • Contributing to the production of HR administration/documents as required
  • Promoting a positive work environment
  • Attending Line Manager operational meetings to understand operational issues and ensuring flexible solutions are reached wherever possible
  • Act as Safety Officer for the Bank
  • Act as liaison point for the employee representatives
  • Implement HR projects as required
  • Contribute to and analyse local compensation surveys on a regular basis
  • Be the benchmark for the Bank’s values

Qualifications

Essential skills and experience

  • Previous HR experience, including advisory experience
  • Good working knowledge of employment law within Luxembourg
  • Degree equivalent qualification in Human Resources
  • Experience within Financial Services is an advantage
  • Understanding and exposure to employee legislation issues
  • Excellent spoken and written English, French is an advantage
  • Professional manner – able to demonstrate consistency in approach and self-regulation.
  • Highly organised and accurate
  • Ability to listen and interpret the needs of the employees
  • Interviewing and recruitment assessment experience
  • Ability to influence at a senior level
  • Excellent communication skills
