Job Description

The Bank is looking for a skillful IT analyst to strengthen its IT department. In this role the applicant will bring IT expertise with in-depth business knowledge and data analytics skillsets to our organization.​ This position offers you the opportunity to develop a range of skills within a sector's leading company in a pleasant and mature working environment.

The role involves:

  • Performing detailed business analysis on small to medium-sized requests raised by the business and provide efficient solutions
  • Designing, analyzing and implementing efficient IT systems based on business and technology needs
  • Leveraging technologies to create automated workflows and processes
  • Analysing data collection, defining business requirements and implementing business control and consistency rules. Providing data completeness and quality metrics
  • Supporting the business by providing insight based on data analysis, identifying ongoing trends and patterns
  • Providing documentation and testing covering data flows, the dependency between data elements, their quality and priority/importance for the business
  • Providing support to end users on a variety of issues and working in a team environment to provide exceptional customer service
  • Growing and developing strong business knowledge of the banking industry (financial product, market infrastructure regulation, accounting principles, financial statements etc) 

Qualifications

Your experience:

  • A Master degree or equivalent in computer science / engineering / Information Technology
  • A proven track record experience of 5 years in a similar position
  • ​​Strong programming and scripting skills with at least 5 years of experience in at least one of the following languages: Python/Ruby/Java/C# /Go
  • Experience with Open Source stacks technologies as well as Continuous Integration platform
  • Experience in carrying out analysis of data using a wide range of quantitative methodologies
  • Knowledge and fundamentals in database modelling, SQL technologies and build up data collection, data analysis and data visualization capacity

 

Your skills:

  • Technical knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, VMware and Docker virtualization ecosystem. Acquaintance with Active Directory environments and related networking, storage and security concepts
  • Problem solving and analytical skills with a high degree of analytical rigour
  • Fluency in English
  •  Strong sense of responsibility and initiative
  • Professionally curious, committed and proactive
  • Highly motivated, reliable, flexible, organized with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to document technical processes and architectures
  • Ability to operate both independently and as a team player
