Swipii is looking for a People Advisor to help continue moving Swipii's culture and team forward. This is a fixed term full time position to cover a Maternity Leave, with the possibility of becoming a permanent part-time job sharing position in the future.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced People Advisor extremely proactive to join our team. This is a fantastic generalist role whereby you will have the opportunity to be involved and shape the People strategy and direction of the company, as well as advise on all operational matters and manage the administrative side too, working directly with the leadership team.

You will be responsible for the following (but not limited):

  • To be the first point of contact for all people related employee matter.
  • Oversee all the People admin tasks including keeping our HR database up to date (holiday and sick records, personnel files, etc.).
  • Managing and supporting all the HR elements of the employee life cycle (attraction, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, engagement, retention and farewell).
  • Ongoing policies and procedures review and implementation, making any necessary updates based on new legislation and Company needs.
  • Provide expert HR advice and knowledge across all topics and levels.
  • Lead the employee engagement agenda, making Swipii a proud place to work, organising internal and external meetings and events.
  • Contribute to Swipii’s continual improvement by making suggestions at all levels.
  • Note taking at Board meetings.
  • Support colleagues with any ad hoc administrative tasks.
  • Running and preparing reports as required.
  • Ensure Swipii’s People strategy is aligned with the Company’s overall strategy

Qualifications

The successful candidate will need to work autonomously and have previous experience of working in an SME People Advisor environment with the ability to plan and organise their own workload and to work as part of a team. 

Essential requirements:

  • Proven experience in a People Advisor role within the SME space
  • Positive, ‘can do’ attitude with an objective approach to problem solving
  • Proactive with an ability to challenge the norm and make improvements to systems, processes and ways of working
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organisational levels with an ability to build relationships and influence others
  • Ability to manage your time effectively, work independently and be self-motivated
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Comfortable working in a changing and fast paced environment, with ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
  • Proven knowledge of HR policies, processes and Employment Law
  • Competent and experienced in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience in SAAS environment
  • CIPD qualified
  • Experience in working on a Startup
