Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Data Analyst to join our team here at Swipii.  At Swipii we strive to use data in every part of the business to promote better decisions and to create a great product.

You will be utilising data from various sources (i.e. database, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.) to provide decision making support at all levels of the business. For example, facilitate our marketing team in tracking and improving spending efficiency to getting deep into our mobile app analytics and user behaviour data to inform product decisions. Additionally, you will be involved in building data tools and pipelines required for a day-to-day business operation.

At this early stage in our growth, we see enormous potential in using data to improve marketing, sales, customer success and the customer-facing product. A skilled and enthusiastic Data Scientist on the team will help us unlock this potential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform statistical analysis to support product and business needs.

  • Create insightful analysis to increase understanding of all areas of the business.

  • Build and maintain data pipelines using our ETL setup.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations in a way that is easily understood by non-quantitative audiences.

  • Establishing High level Reporting Dashboards.

Qualifications

 

  • 2+ years experience in working on Data Scientist or Data Analyst position.

  • Experience in building and applying machine learning and advanced analytics.

  • Experience using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or similar. We use Tableau at Swipii.

  • Strong skills in SQL and database querying/reporting.

  • Experience of other data sources such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.

  • Experience with Python, R or similar.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills and the ability to apply them in a fast startup setting.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate findings and recommendations in a way that is easily understood by non-quantitative audiences.

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • BSc or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant areas; graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred.
