Job Description

Swimwear Anywhere, Inc. is looking for a Sales Professional who will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and growing a sales territory for our men’s line. The Sales professional will monitor each individual store to sell-in the collection, which will include major department stores, franchise stores, online accounts, and independent specialty retailers.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecast sales plan for collection, by account
  • Project and plan business by account  to ensure adequate inventory levels
  • Review profitability reports to make decisions on how to grow a business (understand sales to stock ratios, gross margin, markdowns etc)
  • Call upon stores for upcoming market and continually grow sales territory in appropriate stores
  • Schedule market appointments; Set up the showroom for market
  • Orchestrate product knowledge meetings for stores in order to train in-store selling staff of merchandise features, quality, fashion trends, and company direction
  • Work with account base to assure congruent merchandise assortment
  • Advise account base of merchandise ready and any production issues
  • Monitor, track and analyze account base selling; generate and track weekly selling, door selling, seasonal turn, and seasonal margin
  • Enter orders into system for current selling season
  • Shop the market to identify current and emerging competitors and communicate information back to Sales Director
  • Partner with Sales Director on a daily / weekly basis of territory status

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5-7 years professional experience in  Men’s Active Apparel sales at wholesale level or related experience (ie buyer)
  • Understanding of the apparel industry and how to analyze the business with “retail math” (ie., VMT reports, sell through, on-hands, inventory, and margin)
  • Must have strong relationships of key stores in each territory
  • Adept with public speaking and conducting presentations to retail executives
  • Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel, AS400, and RepSpark
  • BS College Degree (preferably in Business or Fashion Merchandising)
  • Domestic travel required
