Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Accountant to be responsible for analyzing various transactions and prepares monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned
Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform financial analysis and reporting as requested by Financial Manager
- Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
- Coordinate with AR/AP team to complete assigned accounting tasks within set deadlines.
- Monitor expenditures and analyze revenues.
- Provide guidance to other accountants when needed.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
- Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
- Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
- Maintaining the billing system.
- Generating invoices and statements of account.
- Performing accounts reconciliations.
- Maintaining accounts receivable files and records
- Producing monthly accounts receivable reports
- Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries with the company’s customers.
- Assisting in general financial management and analysis
- Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company’s tax database.
- Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings
- Accurately prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports.
- Keep up to date with tax changes.
- Making bank transfers from some of the banks we deal with.
- Assist in submitting necessary reports to tax authority examiner for the purpose of tax examinations.
- Support month-end and year-end close process
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting /Finance.
- 5+ years of experience in relevant field
- Prior experience in logistics company is preferable
- Familiar with different types of bank forms and contracts.
- Excellent command of the English language
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
