Job Description

We’re looking for a candidate that strives to create engaging relationships and Real Connections with Swanson Russell’s nationwide client base. Working with a  broad team of creative talent, you will help generate original, innovative designs and experiences for both traditional digital mediums (websites, digital advertising, email, etc.), as well as trending mediums (experiential, apps, social media, etc.).

A UX Designer is the synthesis of research and design. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Working with our experience group to identify target user groups and carry out interviews or other types of inquiry to help understand user needs
  • Developing user personas, customer journeys, or user flows from insights developed by the experience team
  • Performing competitive analysis of client competitor sites and experiences
  • Producing high-quality solutions through site maps and wireframes
  • Creating low-fidelity prototypes of digital experiences
  • Providing guidance on the implementation of UX research and testing techniques and testing activities to assess user behavior
  • Performing user tests on client marketing campaign tactics and digital products (landing pages, microsites, corporate websites)
  • Providing analysis of testing, interviews, and other types of inquiry to internal teams and clients
  • Communicating solutions through wireframes, low-fidelity prototypes, or visual and interaction designs

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have 3 or more years of user experience, user interface design, or web design experience and a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in visual communications, web design, user-centered design, or related field. In addition, the ideal candidate should have:

  • An analytical mind combined with a design sense
  • Able to understand a client’s business goals and user’s needs and translate them into digital experiences 
  • Identify target user groups and carry out interviews or other types of inquiry to help understand user needs
  • Ability to communicate content hierarchy, features, and functionality through detailed wireframes and prototypes
  • Collaborative with the creative and experience teams to ensure the creation and implementation of customized experiences for the digital user
  • Problem-solving skills to determine solutions to user experience challenges
  • Mastery of information design and architecture
  • Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
