Job Description

We’re looking for a candidate that strives to create engaging relationships and Real Connections with Swanson Russell’s nationwide client base. You must be able to thrive in a fast paced, innovative work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction. The UX/UI Designer works with a broad team of creative talent to help generate original, innovative designs and experiences for both traditional digital mediums (websites, digital advertising, email, etc.), as well as trending mediums (experiential, apps, social media, etc.).

A UX/UI Designer at Swanson Russell is asked to contribute to projects at any phase including:

  • User testing and research
  • Campaign concepting
  • Wireframes and prototypes
  • Visual and interaction design
  • Front-end implementation

A candidate will help develop and implement user testing processes and best practices for our team, agency, and clients as well as be involved in wireframing, prototyping, and visual and interaction design for your projects.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have 3 or more years of user experience, user interface design, or web design experience and a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in visual communications, web design, user-centered design, or related field. In addition, the ideal candidate should have:

  • An understanding of UX and UI design principles and a passion for what the end-product looks like and how it solves a user’s problem
  • Strong conceptualization and visual ability, exceptional interaction design skills and high production value
  • Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects from concept to completion
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team to create original innovative user experiences
  • Interest in learning how and why users interact with our digital products through user testing and research
  • Ability to communicate content hierarchy, features, and functionality through detailed wireframes and prototypes
  • Ability to develop (front-end) design experiences with experience in code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and understanding of front-end development practices, standards, and executions.
