Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • The Banking and Finance Trainer will be responsible for delivering Training to our new hires and existing staff using various teaching tools and resources. Develop non-classroom communication and training materials, e.g., handouts; prepare accurate and meaningful internal and external training reports. Responsible for self-skilling & certification during periods of inactivity (New Hire). Perform other related duties and assignments as required and as assigned by the Training Manager.
  • The Trainer must be performance-driven and eager to innovate new opportunities for their curriculum development.

    The role will encompass:

  • Provide Training to new and existing employees
  • Develop and deliver training plans and curriculum to classes up to 25 FTE
  • Develop and utilize a variety of creative teaching techniques
  • Develops and delivers Training plans to include knowledge assessments
  • Completes in/ out class audits and deep dives
  • Maintain current reporting on Training progress, effectiveness, and improvements
  • Accountability re staying informed on client changes, products, and processes
  • Complete monthly Training phone time- 4hrs
  • Provides reporting re new hire performance 0-30 days
  • Accountable for the consistency/execution/results/coordination & delivery of New Hire Training, Nesting & BQM.
  • Coaching, Development & Performance Management of the new hires and VTFs
  • Responsible for consistency & compliance to all mandated tools, templates, formats & reporting guidelines
  • Responsible for the throughput & New Hire Attrition – as deemed by the upstream processes – 0 – through end of Nesting + 30 days (varying degrees of accountability).
  • Responsible for achieving 0-30 days cycle KPI’s and consistently improving them.
  • Recommending and initiating process changes as part of continuous improvement.
  • Plans, project manages, executes & ensures training delivery (New Hire + Ongoing) for clients.
  • Proactively engages and manages the operating-center service delivery relationship.
  • Interact and comply with all Client Internal & External Audit requirements.
  • Collaborate, influence and partner with Training Manager and support partners.
  • Represents Training in all relevant strategic and tactical forums, internal & external for Banking Programs.
  • Partners with Service Delivery/Quality to determine needs and gaps within assigned program
  • Proactively seeks to improve Training Delivery for the program via content, context & curriculum analysis. Uses other acceptable ISD/Improvement Methodologies as applicable.
  • Lead special projects or new business developments that require specialized training attention.
  • Participates in weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reviews with Training Managers, SD & Client as required.

Qualifications

  • Earned a Bachelor’s degree in any field (Major in Education or Communication preferred)
  • At least 2-3 years of work experience as a Trainer.
  • Excellent working knowledge on Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook)
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic in developing solutions and process improvements
  • Willingness and ability to work in a shifting or graveyard schedule
  • Must have banking experience
  • No infractions on file within the past six (6) months
  • In current role for a minimum of 12 months (1 year)
